Experienced Carpenter – Framing to Finish
At various construction sites throughout the local area
Our construction company specializes in building high-quality commercial projects for valued clients throughout the region. We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter with experience ranging from rough framing to finish carpentry to join our team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded craftsman who takes pride in quality workmanship and can contribute throughout multiple phases of construction. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on everything from structural framing and installation to detailed finish work and final punch-list completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry on commercial projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Build and install framing, walls, blocking, doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, and other wood components
- Install high-quality finish details including baseboards, crown molding, casing, custom trim, and hardware
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with supervisors and construction crews to maintain project timelines and quality standards
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and company expectations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in carpentry, including framing and finish work
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
- Attention to detail with a commitment to craftsmanship and quality
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
Work Environment
This position involves physical labor in active construction environments. Candidates must be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting materials, climbing ladders, and working with power equipment while following proper safety procedures and PPE requirements.
