Position Overview<\/b>
<\/p>

The Millwork Finisher is responsible for preparing, finishing, and detailing wood products through staining, painting, sealing, and other finishing techniques. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong craftsmanship, and knowledge of finishing materials and processes to achieve consistent, high -quality results.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

  • Prepare wood surfaces for finishing through sanding, filling, and repairing defects.
    <\/li>
  • Apply stains, sealers, paints, lacquers, and topcoats using spray equipment, brushes, or other tools.
    <\/li>
  • Match colors and finishes to client specifications and approved samples.
    <\/li>
  • Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to project requirements.
    <\/li>
  • Mix and prepare finishing materials, ensuring proper viscosity and application.
    <\/li>
  • Maintain finishing equipment and spray booths, performing cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
    <\/li>
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.

    Requirements<\/h3>

    Qualifications<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in woodworking or finishing preferred.
      <\/li>
    • 2+ years of experience as a wood finisher, preferably in millwork, cabinetry, or furniture.
      <\/li>
    • Knowledge of wood species, stains, paints, sealers, and finishing techniques.
      <\/li>
    • Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and color samples.
      <\/li>
    • Experience with spray finishing equipment and proper material handling.
      <\/li>
    • Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality control.
      <\/li>
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast -paced shop environment.
