Finishing Lead - 2nd Shift

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures

• Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines; monitor and maintain quality standards

• Read and interpret information on work orders to determine properly preformed products are produced

• Maintain accurate production records

• Communicate information as needed to employees, shift supervisor and next shift group leader or machine operator

• Ensure high levels of production, maximizing efficiency with planned work assignments

• Maintain a clean work area, ensuring a safe working environment

• Train new operators as needed

• Oversee general preventive maintenance on equipment

• Operate equipment as necessary to maintain productivity during the operator's absence

• Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements

• Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives

• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Education/Certification

High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner

• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business

• Ability to effectively work in teams

• Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people

• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles

Position: 2nd Shift
Hours: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour in addition to the base rate of pay.
