DWS Printing & Packaging is seeking a full-time Finishing Machine Operator to join the team in Deer Park, New York. Reporting directly to the Finishing Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for converting post-press products into finished, customer-ready labels and ensuring the highest quality work is delivered to our customers.The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn.

Job Description: The candidate will:
Operate finishing machines to convert post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.
Set up machines to cut, slit, and rewind labels to specific customer requirements.
Perform and document quality checks throughout each run to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials needed for the machine and daily operation.
Inspect equipment for defects and perform routine maintenance duties as necessary.
Read and follow written job tickets and work instructions, and comprehend verbal direction from the Finishing Supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Safely and efficiently perform all essential job functions in accordance with company policies and operating procedures.
Assist with other production department tasks as required.
Meet all attendance and performance expectations.
Requirements: The candidate must:
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new processes
Be detail-oriented and capable of following standard work instructions.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Be capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a team.
Be able to read, write, and speak English to interpret job tickets, follow written work instructions and safety procedures, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Be able to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable assistance.
Be able to use a hand pallet jack.
Maintain a safety-first mindset and respect for machinery and equipment.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Prior experience in printing, finishing, or a manufacturing/machine operator role is preferred but not mandatory.
