    Job Summary

    The Finishing Painter at Gibson performs hand spraying on guitars. In charge of making sure all paint and lacquer finishing is up to company standards. Keeping paint booths and E-stat equipment clean and investigating any quality issues that may arise.

    Essential Functions

    • Adhere to finishing standards when painting guitars.
    • Use E-stat spray gun to produce an even coat on all products.
    • Document any modification to the material. (adding EEP)
    • Ensure the paint equipment is cleaned properly.
    • Inspect finishing room for safety violations.
    • 5S area and conduct layered audits.
    • Paint Vault Check List is in use and up to date for compliance.
    • Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety Rules
    • Obligation to submit Safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR code
    • Support the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improvement of our safety processes
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities

    • Painting (E-stat sprayer) experience is required.
    • Strong attention to detail.

    Required Education and Experience

    • Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.
    • Must be 18 years of age or older.

    Physical Demands

    Must be able to stand all day and lift guitars throughout the day.
