Overview:
Seeking a FinOps Analyst to support GSA OCIO's Financial Operations and FinOps task area. This role emphasizes cost optimization and financial management through cost analysis, IT service catalog management, resource planning, and performance measurement.
Responsibilities:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through standardization.
- Conduct gap analyses with focus on financial efficiency.
- Recommend enterprise-wide efficiencies.
- Conduct financial analysis using FinOps methodologies.
- Develop agile processes for catalog maintenance.
- Align resources with mission requirements and budgets.
- Support capacity planning, demand management, and project prioritization with financial considerations.
- Create financial dashboards and benchmark costs against industry standards.
- Validate efficiency metrics.
- Ensure any conflict of interest or potential conflict of interest is brought to the COR's attention.
- Document all processes, methodologies, and solutions to enable knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT financial management.
- Experience with FinOps methodologies.
- Experience conducting cost analysis, gap analyses, and recommending enterprise-wide efficiencies.
- Experience with IT Service Catalog Management.
- Experience with capacity planning, demand management, and project prioritization.
- Experience creating financial dashboards and benchmarking costs.
- Active HSPD-12 clearance or favorable determination by contract award.
Preferred:
- FinOps certification.
- Experience with GSA financial systems.
- Experience with CPIC (CIO 2135.2B).
- Experience with consumption-based IT financial modeling.
Schedule & Work Conditions:
- Core Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
- Work Location: Primarily remote; occasional in-person meetings at GSA Headquarters (Theodore Roosevelt Building, 1900 E Street NW, Washington, DC) as requested by the COR.
- Travel: Local travel within 50 miles of GSA sites in the Washington, DC metropolitan area is not reimbursable. No other travel is expected.
- Telework: Ad hoc or situational telework is authorized with prior approval from the Task Order Contracting Officer. Telework reports must be submitted by the end of each telework day.
- Security: Must maintain HSPD-12 credential and favorable background investigation throughout the life of the task order.
