Fire Alarm Designer – Total Fire Protection, Fort Myers, FLWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. The Fire Alarm Designer will coordinate with the project manager, estimator, and sales team throughout the project lifecycle.Responsibilities:Design fire alarm systems for Total Fire & Security projectsDevelop and prepare detailed CAD drawings for fire alarm and detection systems.Review construction contract documentsThorough use of analytical thinking and problem solving, determine construction feasibility and systems possibilitiesCreate stock list for all material required throughout the projectMaintain design historical records for future useDevelop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure company is meeting customers' expectationsCoordinate with other departments within office to ensure proper handover of job informationPerform Project Manager functions as requiredComplete other assigned responsibilities as directed by immediate supervisorQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field helpfulNICET Certification is preferredTwo years experience in the design and implementation of fire alarm systems.In-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NFPA 72, 70, & FBC, Florida Fire and Prevention code 8 th edition)Proficiency in AutoCADExperience with BlueBeam software is a plusStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Demonstrates outstanding communicationAbility to produce NFPA compliant submittal drawingsAbility to site surveyValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordJob Type: Full-timePay: $65000 - $90000 per yearSchedule: 8 hour shift - Monday to FridayBy joining Total Fire Protection, you not only become part of a dynamic and innovative team but also gain access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal growth.
