TradeSTAR is hiring Fire Alarm Helpers for commercial fire alarm installation projects throughout the Austin area. These positions support commercial construction, tenant finish-outs, system upgrades, and life safety infrastructure installations in active commercial environments.

Job Responsibilities
Assist Fire Alarm Technicians with installation of commercial fire alarm systems
Pull and route FPL and low-voltage fire alarm cabling through conduit, cable tray, J-hooks, and structured pathways
Assist with installation of smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, horn/strobes, modules, and fire alarm control panels
Support device mounting, cable dressing, labeling, and pathway organization
Assist with trimming out field devices and basic terminations
Follow blueprints, device layouts, riser diagrams, and installation drawings
Maintain clean and organized work areas on active commercial job sites
Follow NFPA, NEC, and commercial job site safety standards
Assist with system testing, inspections, and final device verification
Technical Requirements
6 months to 1 year of construction, low-voltage, electrical, or fire alarm experience preferred
Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools
Ability to work from ladders and lifts in commercial construction environments
Willingness to learn commercial fire alarm systems and industry installation standards
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work on a team
Reliable transportation required
Preferred Experience
Commercial construction environments
Low-voltage cable pulling
Fire alarm or electrical helper experience
Experience reading blueprints or installation layouts
Compensation & Benefits
