Fire Alarm Inspector

The Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and applicable NFPA codes, as well as customer operationalrequirements.Thisindividualwillfocusontheproperfunctionoffirealarmsystemswhilealsoinspectingandtestingotherlowvoltagesystemsthatsupportourcustomers,includingbutnotlimitedtoIntrusion,AccessControl,andCCTVsystems.

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems, as well as similar competitive manufacturers' products.
• Perform testing and verification of low voltage systems and associated devices to ensure proper system operation and code compliance.
• Identify deficiencies, document findings, and communicate recommendations for corrective action.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements, inspection reports, and all required documentation accurately using electronic or hard-copy formats.
• Maintain inspection records and documentation required by customers and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), including healthcare and life safety regulatory agencies where applicable.
• Manage assigned inspection schedules and complete inspections in a timely and efficient manner.
• Input, retrieve, and maintain inspection documents electronically.
• Adhere to all company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain professional interactions with customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Coordinate with service technicians, project teams, and branch personnel to address inspection findings and customer needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience performing inspections, testing, or servicing fire alarm systems and/or low voltage systems.
• Working knowledge of fire alarm systems, applicable NFPA standards, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Ability to identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Experience completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver's license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training and industry education.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing time and priorities.

• NICET certification or Florida Fire Alarm Inspector licensing is preferred but not required.
