Florida State Certified Alarm Contractor in business since 1981. We are seeking a skilled and dependable
Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm and life-safety systems in commercial, industrial, and/or residential properties.
The ideal candidate has a minimum 3-year hands-on experience in installation and servicing Low Voltage including with Fire Alarm Systems, Security (Burglar) Alarm, Access Control & CCTV. Plus, strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and code compliance. Highly desired to read, understand and follow plans.
Responsibilities:
- Install, wire, program, and test fire alarm systems.
- Install fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, pull stations, notification devices, and related equipment.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings.
- Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm system faults.
- Perform system inspections, testing, and maintenance.
- Follow NFPA, local fire codes, and company safety procedures.
- Complete installation paperwork and service reports.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and inspectors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with fire alarm installation or low-voltage systems preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical/low-voltage wiring.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
