Fire Alarm Lead Technician Job Description:
As a Fire Alarm Lead Technician, you are responsible for leading crews in the field, ensuring installations are completed to code, and supporting testing, troubleshooting, and system commissioning. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge along with the ability to guide teams and maintain project efficiency.
Leading and training Junior Technicians and Helpers in the installation of support structures and cable pulling throughout building infrastructure.
Expertly installing duct detectors, strobes, pull stations, smoke detectors, heat detectors, and performing fire panel terminations.
Utilizing multi-meters and testing equipment to perform advanced troubleshooting and testing.
Reading and interpreting building prints to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
Coordinating with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless project integration.
Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Managing inventory and ordering necessary materials and equipment.
Preparing detailed reports on project status, including progress updates and any issues encountered.
Ensuring all installations and modifications meet local and national fire codes and standards.
Providing exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and maintaining open communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensuring timely completion of projects within budget constraints.
Basic Requirement:
Valid Driver s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Experienced using pipe wrenches, cutting and threading.
