Fire Alarm Service Technician- Job Description:
Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial fire alarm and life-safety systems.
Diagnose system troubles, ground faults, communication issues, device failures, and other system deficiencies.
Use meters, diagnostic tools, and manufacturer software to identify problems and restore systems to proper operation.
Perform repairs and replacements involving initiating devices, notification appliances, modules, power supplies, control panels, and associated equipment.
Program, test, and verify fire alarm equipment following service, repairs, or system modifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
Perform system inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance as needed.
Complete service documentation accurately, including work performed, deficiencies identified, materials used, and recommended repairs.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues, completed work, and recommended next steps.
Manage assigned service calls efficiently while maintaining a high level of workmanship and customer service.
Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, and company safety standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior level technicians when needed.
Basic Requirement:
Valid Driver s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to utilize hand and power tools in a safety-oriented environment.
