Fire Alarm Technician Job Description:
The Fire Alarm Technician will assist with the installation, inspection, and service of fire alarm systems on commercial projects. This role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in fire alarm and life safety systems while working under the supervision of licensed senior technicians.
Assist with installation of fire alarm devices including pull stations, smoke detectors, horn/strobes, and control panels
Pull and route fire alarm cabling in accordance with project requirements
Support inspections and testing of fire alarm systems
Label devices and wiring per code and project specifications
Maintain a clean and safe job site
Follow NFPA, NEC, and local AHJ requirements
Read and follow basic blueprints and work orders
Assist senior technicians during troubleshooting and service calls
Basic Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in fire alarm, low-voltage, or construction preferred
Must have Valid Driver s License and own transportation
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
