Responsibilities
Install, program, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial buildings
Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety codes
Diagnose and resolve system issues; replace components as needed
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Communicate clearly with clients regarding system performance and service
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent
Follow OSHA and company safety protocols
Stay current on evolving fire codes and emerging technologies
Qualifications
Massachusetts Fire Alarm License (Rhode Island license a plus)
2+ years of hands-on experience in fire alarm installation and service
Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and regulatory standards
Proficiency with system programming tools and diagnostic equipment
Excellent troubleshooting skills and commitment to quality
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in elevated/confined spaces
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel
