Fire Alarm Technician
The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for testing and inspection of fire alarm systems as well as preventive maintenance with knowledge of multiple manufacturers products. The Technicians will provide accurate and detailed inspection reports with all proper documentation of improvements and complications. They will also assist in selling IFP services for any identified deficiencies.

Responsibilities
- Pulling wire, installing conduit, and mounting devices
- An aptitude for electrical theory and knowledge or ability to learn is considered a requirement
- Program test, inspect, and service fire alarm systems
- Site verifications of fire alarm installations
- Read and interpret fire alarm drawings
- Identify and troubleshoot fire alarm deficiencies
- Cover on-call hours for servicing customers including nights and weekends on a rotating basis
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience installing, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm systems is preferred
- Cross-training across multiple fire protection disciplines preferred, including fire alarm, clean agents, special hazards systems, fire extinguishers, fixed wet and dry chemical suppression systems, backflow prevention, fire sprinklers, and emergency lighting
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes and applicable industry standards
- Commitment to quality workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to best practices - no shortcuts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows Excel, Word, Outlook, and general PC skills
- Ability to work in harsh environments
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders as required
- Valid drivers license with the ability to travel daily between customer sites
- Willingness to successfully complete a post-offer drug screen and background check
Education and Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree, GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Electronic Trade School training is a plus
- NICET certification is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking
