We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, inspect, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm systems in commercial and residential environments. This role is responsible for ensuring systems are operating properly, compliant with applicable codes, and providing reliable life safety protection for our customers.
Skills & Responsibilities
Install, program, test, commission, and upgrade fire alarm systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing fire alarm systems.
Perform inspections and verify compliance with NFPA and local code requirements.
Conduct system start-up, acceptance testing, and customer demonstrations.
Respond to emergency service calls and resolve system issues.
Complete detailed service, inspection, and project documentation.
Communicate findings, recommendations, and system deficiencies to customers and team members.
Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and field personnel as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
7+ years of experience installing, programming, inspecting, and servicing commercial fire alarm systems preferred.
Experience programming and commissioning fire alarm systems required.
NICET Level II or higher preferred.
Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 72, and applicable local codes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Valid Driver's License required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work on ladders and elevated surfaces.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces as needed.
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments.
Ability to travel to customer and project sites as needed.
