Job Scope: Lead the firefighting and emergency response team. Manage daily shift operations, scheduling, and duties. Respond to operational issues and emergencies. Ensure compliance with fire safety laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and command firefighting and emergency operations. Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and develop safety plans. Inspect buildings for fire hazards, wiring issues, or blocked fire exits. Follow up on fire code violations and ensure corrective actions. Ensure firefighting equipment (trucks, vehicles, rescue gear, portable tools) is in good condition. Inspect facilities with hazardous materials for compliance and issue permits. Respond to all types of emergencies, including fire, toxic leaks, gas leaks, and rescues. Conduct regular training sessions on fire prevention, safety, and firefighting techniques. Train and guide Emergency Response Team (ERT) members and volunteers. Provide mentorship and development opportunities within the department. Conduct annual fire extinguisher training for employees. Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in firefighting. Review new building and remodeling plans for fire safety compliance. Investigate incidents for negligence or code violations by staff. Develop and manage fire prevention programs (false alarms, inspections, hazardous materials). Communicate with teams and inspectors via phone or radio. Investigate fire causes by collecting and analyzing evidence. Coordinate emergency drills with internal and external agencies. Provide support to outside agencies during emergencies. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Fire Protection, or equivalent. 912 years of relevant experience. Fire Protection Certification (preferred).
