Tesla has an outstanding opportunity available for a Fire and Emergency Services Technician. During the assigned shift, the Fire & Emergency Services Technician is responsible for responding to fire, medical, technical rescue, and hazardous material related emergencies. The Fire & Emergency Services Technician will support assigned site daily operations, public education and safety training and support cross functional teams as required.
Respond to emergencies at Tesla properties and effectively minimize losses through fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous materials mitigation, technical rescue standby's/responses and any other emergency situations that occur
Provide basic/advanced life support during medical emergencies associated with trauma, chemical exposure, or medical emergencies
Collaborate with On Site Medical (OSM) team to ensure the best possible patient care and outcome, support On Site Medical staff augmentation as required
Support stakeholders with emergency action plans, emergency drills, and emergency communication
Provide detailed verbal, written, and computer reports pertaining to condition and care of patients and incident reports as required
Support fire and life safety inspections. Support EHS Specialists with safety concerns and assist with coordination of safety supplies (first aid kits, eyewash stations, etc.)
Safely and efficiently operates emergency response and powered industrial vehicles
Required - Firefighter 1( IFSAC/ProBoard or CSFM), Hazardous Materials Operations and California EMT-B. Preferred-Firefighter 2, Paramedic, Hazardous Materials Technician
FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
Valid driver's license required to be able to operate assigned fleet
Rope Rescue/Confined Space Rescue Certifications Preferred
Previous experience as an industrial, military, or municipal firefighter
Ability to communicate concisely, clearly, and effectively in both written and verbal forms
Essential Physical Demands:
Must be comfortable in confined spaces
Must be able to lift over 50lbs.
Must be able to stand/walk for 10+ hrs. daily
Must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals
Must be able to pass respiratory requirements and operate in a SCBA mask for extended periods of time
Must complete medical baseline assessment and have the ability to complete physically strenuous tasks associated with fire suppression, for extended periods of time

$29.60 - $58.80/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
