In this role you will inspect service test and maintain portable fire extinguishers while supporting daily warehouse operations - ensuring compliance with applicable fire protection codes and standards maintaining accurate service records and assisting with inventory management shipping receiving and general warehouse organization. Success in this role requires a detail-oriented safety-focused professional who is committed to providing excellent customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesFire Extinguisher ServicePerform inspections maintenance testing and recharging of portable fire extinguishers in accordance with company procedures and applicable codes and standards.Conduct extinguisher installations replacements and emergency service calls.Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to customers and management.Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner.Maintain service equipment tools and company vehicles in safe working condition.Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA requirements NFPA standards and company safety policies.Provide professional customer service during onsite visits.Warehouse OperationsReceive inspect and stock incoming inventory and materials.Pick pack and prepare orders for delivery or shipment.Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.Organize warehouse storage areas to ensure efficiency and safety.Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles.Assist with equipment preparation assembly and staging for service technicians.Maintain a clean safe and organized warehouse environment.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.Strong communication and customer service skills.Understanding of basic mechanical equipment and hand tools.Ability to read and interpret service instructions and safety procedures.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.Preferred Previous fire extinguisher inspection or fire protection industry experience NFPA 10 certification or ability to obtain forklift certification or ability to obtain experience with inventory control and warehouse operations experience using service management or inventory software.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentFrequently stand walk bend kneel and reach throughout the workday.Lift carry push and pull up to 50 pounds occasional heavier lifting with assistance.Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights when required.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment PPE.Work in a combination of warehouse shop customer facility and field service environments.Exposure to varying temperatures dust noise and industrial settings.Occasional overtime and local travel may be required.The wage for this role is 18 to 20 per hour based on experience and qualifications.As part of the DU Family of Companies we believe that empowering and investing in our employees as leaders develops an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
