The fire instructor is responsible for delivering training courses in a classroom setting hands-on practical sessions and onlinedistance environments. They will also be responsible for scheduling training courses in both a resident and outreach format to the first response community of Allegheny County. This position will also provide supervision of visiting instructors and monitor student and visiting instructor activities to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained. Additionally the fire instructor will maintain tools equipment and apparatus assigned to the division. The fire instructor will also keep the learning environment classrooms and training field in good working order. The fire instructor will occasionally work at and with staff from the Emergency Operations Center and in the field providing emergency response capabilities as needed.
