IPS is currently seeking a Fire Life Safety Director (FLSD) for a Full Time and Part Time positions.
Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn Salary: $27.00 to $28.00 an hour.
Must be flexible to work morning and afternoon shifts.
Requirements:
Valid FDNY Fire and Life Safety Director Certificate of Fitness (F-89, T-89, or Z-89 Certificate of Completion) issued by the New York City Fire Department.
Valid New York State Security Guard License.
Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and emergency procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and lead during emergency situations.
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
Reliable transportation.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and operate the Fire Command Center and building fire alarm systems.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and safety incidents.
Implement and maintain the building’s Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plan.
Coordinate emergency responses with the New York City Fire Department and other first responders.
Conduct fire drills and safety training for staff and tenants.
Maintain accurate incident reports and inspection logs.
Ensure compliance with NYC fire safety codes and regulations.
Perform routine inspections of fire safety systems and equipment.
