Fire Life Safety Inspector

Convergentz, a division of the Hunton Group, has an exciting opportunity for a Fire Life and Safety Inspector to join our growing team in Houston, TX. In this role, you'll conduct inspection services on a wide range of fire protection systems and equipment-including fire alarms, sprinklers, pumps, extinguishers, suppression systems, backflows, and more. You'll play a key role in ensuring safety and compliance, while also mentoring junior technicians and maintaining high-quality service standards.

What You'll Do

• Perform annual, quarterly, and 5-year inspections and testing of fire protection systems.

• Inspect and service a variety of systems, including:

• Fire Alarm Systems

• Fire Sprinkler Systems (wet, dry, pre-action)

• Fire Pumps and Backflows

• Fire Extinguishers

• Kitchen Hood and Total Flood Suppression Systems

• Support and guide field installers and junior technicians to ensure safe, high-quality work.

• Communicate clearly with internal teams and customers regarding system status and deficiencies.

• Accurately complete inspection reports with clear documentation and photos.

• Manage your time effectively across multiple inspection projects.

• Train and mentor less experienced team members to help them grow in their roles.
