Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Must possess a State of Florida Firesafety Inspector I Certificate as specified in Florida Statute Chapter 633. Must possess a National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Certified Fire Plan Examiner (CFPE) credential, and a minimum of one year of having performed fire & life safety inspections and/or plans review, or a combination thereof.
Recruitment Notes
This position is in the Fire Prevention Division reporting to the Fire Engineering Bureau. Incumbent will be responsible for approving or disapproving proposed plans in accordance with code and other regulatory requirements and discusses disapproved items with architects, engineers, contractors and/or owner builders to obtain plan changes necessary for approval.
