    Job Description

    Description

We're looking for a Fire Protection Designer who's ready to take on more complex projects and more ownership. You're hungry to grow into bigger scope, deeper client relationships, and eventually a leadership path if that's the direction you want to take.

    • Build hydraulic calculations and job specifications that hold up
    • Keep projects on track and on timeline, working independently more than you have before
    • Partner with Project Managers on cost estimation, budgets, and margins
    • Get out to job sites to scope projects from the ground up
    • Solve design problems as they come up, because they always do
    • Lead coordination meetings, sometimes solo
    • Mentor our Fire Protection Designer I team members when they've got questions
    • Be a go to resource for our Sprinkler Fitters in the field

    • NICET Level II certification, or a willingness to obtain it while employed in the role, is a plus
    • A working knowledge of NFPA standards, building and fire codes, and building materials is a plus
    • Hands-on experience with HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and HydraLIST is a plus
    • Experience working with Project Managers on estimates is a plus
