Further details will be explained during in-person interview. The expectation for inspectors is to be well rounded in fire extinguishers fire alarms fire sprinklers backflows and kitchen hoods in commercial spaces. Training and certification will be provided in areas most needed but experience and certification will be required in one of either of the categories prior to hire.This position has a salary range of 19 to 30 per hour depending on experience and current licenseJob ResponsibilitiesPerformance of daily weekly monthly andor annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on various sized fire extinguishers fire alarms and fire sprinkler systems.Repair replace fill and tag all fire extinguishers.Service and test all systems.Complete electronic andor handwritten inspection reports.Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner.Assist in the scheduling and completion of assigned duties.Ability to work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.Job QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Demonstrated competency in the fire protection industry required.Licenses in Fire Alarm Fire Sprinkler & Fire Extinguisher andor Nicet Certification.Understand NFPA National Fire Protection Association and building and fire codes.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.Valid drivers license in accordance with company policy required.Able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodationRegular bending reaching climbing and walkingPlease visit www.afpgusa.comcareers for more information or to see all job openings.American Fire Protection Group is an equal opportunity employer.
