ACIBuilds.comSummary/Objective:Responsible for the day-to-day activities of assigned personnel on the assembly, installation and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures of fire protection sprinkler systems. In addition to supervisory responsibility, this position is that of a working foreman, responsible for directly performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks.Essential Functions:Manage labor and materials to ensure the assigned tasks meet or beat budgets for eachTracks hours and manpower on all tasksProvides training in areas needing improvements to ensure quality, production, and safetyResponsible for performing a wide range of skilled construction tasksAttends, as needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned projectsInterprets company policy for workers and enforces safety regulationsProvides guidance and direction to crews in meeting budgets and project scheduleAbility to manage installation fitters and helpers at job siteAbility to interpret blueprints and architectural drawingsResponsible for installation of wet, cpvc, and steel systems in commercial and industrial buildingsPlans work to make the most efficient use of assigned manpower and other resourcesInspects work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to contract and specificationMaintains appropriate documentation for the work performedDemonstrate positive team work and ability to be a team leader and mentorMaintains a clean and safe work environmentCompletes projects in a timely manner while providing the highest standard of quality work and customer satisfactionPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: YesRequired:3+ years of experience in Fire Sprinkler Installation field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience1 to 3 years' experience as a ForemanKnowledgeable with NFPA 13 and all codesMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust adhere to all company policy and proceduresMust be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedThe work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:Work Environment:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heightsPhysical Demands:This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power toolsWhile performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbsFrequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focusTravel:May require travel (typically not overnight)Preferred:Prior military experienceHS diploma or GED equivalentVisit www.acibuilds.com for more information! Fire Protection Sprinkler ForemanFinal compensation will be determined based on experience, education, licensure, skills, and other relevant factorsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
