Job Description
The Fire Rescue Department is seeking a skilled Fire Rescue Apparatus Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing skilled crafts and trades work in the maintenance and repair of diesel and gasoline Fire Rescue vehicles and related equipment.

- Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work planned and unplanned overtime and call back hours as necessary and on-call duty on a rotational basis.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working on diesel and gasoline equipment, including two (2) years of experience in heavy equipment and fire pump mechanics.
- Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Special Requirements
- Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
- ASE and EVT certifications are preferred.
- In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
