The next question asks how many total years of education and/or full-time or equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience you have which involved analyzing and interpreting structural blueprints and/or the interpretation or enforcement of fire regulations for occupancies, fire prevention, fire safety, building inspection, construction or a safety related field. To help you answer this question, please use the following equivalency chart to convert any undergraduate college or university education you have completed into the appropriate amount of qualifying experience: Every thirty (30) undergraduate semester hours = One (1) year of experience Every forty-five (45) undergraduate quarter hours = One (1) year of experience Associate Degree = Two (2) years of experience Bachelor's Degree = Four (4) years of experience For example: if you have an Associate's degree in Fire Science and four (4) years of part-time paid experience as a volunteer fire fighter (which would mean that you worked 20 hours per week for 8 years), you would count the Associate's degree as two (2) years of experience from the chart above to add to your four (4) years of volunteer fire fighting experience for a total of six (6) years of combined education and qualifying experience. Therefore, you would select: "I have a total of six (6) to less than eight (8) years of combined education and/or qualifying experience as described above…" from the choices below. Here is another example: if you have thirty (30) college semester hours and twelve (12) years of paid experience which involved analyzing and interpreting structural blueprints, using the chart above, you would convert the thirty (30) semester hours to one (1) year of qualifying experience, and add that to your twelve (12) years of military experience to get a total of 13 years of combined education and qualifying experience. Therefore, you would select: "I have a total of twelve (12) or more years of combined education and
