Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to join their growing team in Vancouver, WA. They are open to candidates ranging from 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience through Senior-Level Designers, making this an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers with a stable and well-established organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing fire sprinkler systems, strong knowledge of NFPA standards, and proficiency with AutoSPRINK and AutoCAD. NICET certification is required and can range from Level I through IV, depending on experience and career stage.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards, local codes, and project requirements
  • Create detailed layouts and fabrication drawings using AutoSPRINK and AutoCAD
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and system designs for commercial and industrial projects
  • Review architectural and engineering plans for compliance, constructability, and accuracy
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, contractors, and customers throughout project lifecycles
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and schedule requirements
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the design and installation process

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience
  • NICET Certification (Level I, II, III, or IV) - required
  • Experience with AutoSPRINK - required
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection industry standards
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET Level III or IV
  • Experience with commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems
  • Background working for a fire protection contractor
  • Union environment experience
  • Project management or lead designer experience
