This position may be responsible for site clean-up, unloading, staging, and distributing work material to other employees at a job site. Position will also cut and thread pipe. May install and test fire sprinkler systems under the close guidance of a Sprinkle Fitter. Position receives guidance and direction regarding day-to-day work tasks from a Sprinkler Fitter. Continued employment is contingent on successfully obtaining applicable Oklahoma state licensing. The Helper is also responsible for assisting in maintaining a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself, co-workers, and customers. A qualified trainee is a responsible reliable individual./ppJob Responsibilities:/pulliWork with the Fitter to achieve any tasks necessary to complete work on a given job site in a timely, effective manner/liliLearn applicable fire protection codes and obtain applicable state licensing./liliProtect and maintain company equipment/liliMaintain their vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized/liliPerform any other tasks assigned by the Fitter and/or the Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Manager/liliThe ability willingness to work in scissor/boom lifts on ladders as necessary/li/ulpJob Qualifications:/pulliAbility to follow verbal work instructions/directions/liliCapable of working independently and completing duties and projects with moderate supervision/liliDemonstrate the initiative to learn skills of the trade/liliAbility to learn applicable fire sprinkler installation, inspection, and servicing codes/liliAbility to read labels, signage and directions along with basic math computation skills/liliGeneral mechanical background/liliDemonstrate strong customer service orientation/liliStrong organization skills, positive attitude, and ability to quickly learn/liliPossess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements/liliMust have reliable transportation to from jobsite./li/ulpSuccessful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
