Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Position Summary The Fire Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for performing scheduled inspections and testing of fire sprinkler and water-based fire protection systems. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while providing professional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Perform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler and water-based fire protection systems in accordance with applicable NFPA standards and local requirements. Identify and accurately document system deficiencies and recommended corrective actions. Complete inspection reports and required documentation accurately and on time using electronic inspection reporting systems. Communicate inspection results, deficiencies, and system conditions professionally with customers and appropriate team members. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards, codes, and inspection requirements. Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Maintain an organized work schedule and effectively manage assigned inspections. Assist with troubleshooting and service of fire sprinkler systems as needed. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Participate in overtime and occasional on-call responsibilities based on customer and operational needs.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection, service, or a closely related fire protection role. Certification:NICET Level II or equivalent certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems required. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Strong working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, inspection and testing procedures, applicable NFPA standards, tools, materials, and system components. Ability to accurately identify and document system deficiencies. Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and electronic inspection reporting systems. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently, manage assigned inspections, and maintain an organized schedule with minimal supervision. Valid drivers license and ability to meet company driving requirements. Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with fire sprinkler inspection work.

Schedule Full-time | Day Shift Typical schedules consist of 8-hour day shifts, with overtime and occasional on-call responsibilities based on business and customer needs.
