Therefore LIFE SAFETY IS OUR BUSINESS as such we promise to be the trusted leader in fire protection delivering the highest quality life safety solutions with commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.JOB DESCRIPTIONFire Sprinkler InspectorThe Fire Sprinkler Inspectoris responsible fortesting and inspection of fire and life safety systems including but not limited to fire sprinklersandbackflow preventersfirealarm cross-training is a plus.The Inspector will provideaccurateand detailedinspectionsreportswith all proper documentation of improvements and complications andassistin selling IFP services for any identified deficiencies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality courteous service and by applying experienceknowledgeand training.Working knowledge of sprinkler controls alarm panelsdevicesand critical componentsPerform routine inspectionstestingand services of life safety product lines.Thoroughly complete inspectionsin a timely manneras scheduled and interface withtheInspection Coordinator to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope.Willingto coordinate between inspection deficiencies and servicerequiredto correct found deficiencies.Utilizes an online scheduling calendar to receive and understand the individual scheduled tasks customer locations andmaintainother company documents asrequiredtimesheets safety auditsetc.Maintain positive customer relationships and review inspection results withcustomers.Turn in required paperworkin a timely manner.Maintain equipmentsuppliesand companyvehicleif supplied in good working order.Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.Stay current with code requirements industry changes and obtain NICET certifications.Perform other related duties as assigned.JOB QUALIFICATIONSAny trade experienceis preferred at least 2 years trade experiencerequired.State ofNorth Carolina or South Carolinacertificationsrequired.NICET LevelIII or IIIrequiredin water-basedtestand inspections dependent on state requirement.Good verbal written communication and customer service skills.Mechanical & math aptitude.Exceptional computer skills professional and organized.Previousexperience in the fire protection industry preferred.Valid state Drivers Licenserequired.Willing to pass post-offer drug screenreferenceand background checkEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalentA minimum of 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection testing maintenance and installation is preferred.NICET Certification isrequiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTRegular bending reachingclimbingand walking.Mostly aphysicaldemanding role.May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.Compensation & BenefitsThis role will be based out of our Marion South Carolina branch.
