Fire Sprinkler Inspector (SFSIPID-1)

A well-established fire protection company is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler & Backflow Inspector to support commercial, industrial, and institutional customers throughout the region.

This field-based position combines fire sprinkler inspections, backflow testing, customer interaction, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while delivering professional service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and certify backflow prevention assemblies
  
• Perform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems
  
• Verify proper operation of valves, sprinkler heads, and related system components
  
• Identify and document system deficiencies
  
• Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
  
• Clearly communicate inspection findings and recommendations to customers and internal team members
  
• Complete required inspection reports and field documentation accurately and on time
  

Requirements

• Active Idaho Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certification
  
• 2+ years of fire sprinkler and/or backflow inspection experience
  
• NICET II or higher in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems preferred
  
• NFPA Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI-I) is a plus
  
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills
  
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area, including occasional overnight travel
