Davis Ulmer offers NICET preparation training and testing and encourages participation.As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector Trainee you will learn how to perform the inspection testing and maintenance of fire sprinkler and water-based fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA standards ensuring our customers systems are code-compliant and fully operational.Key ResponsibilitiesLearn how to perform inspection testing and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA 25 and applicable codes.Learn how to accurately document inspection results and prepare detailed reports for customers.Learn how to identify system deficiencies and communicate recommended corrective actions.Interact professionally with customers building owners and authorities having jurisdiction AHJs.Maintain company vehicle tools and equipment in good working order.Adhere to all safety policies and procedures on every job site.Qualifications2 or more years of sprinkler installation or sprinkler service experience is preferred however will be waived for qualified candidates.Willing to become a NEWWA backflow prevention tester.Willing to work towards NICET certification in Testing of Water-Based Systems.Willing to gain a working knowledge of NFPA 25 and related fire protection codes and standards.Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to climb ladders work at heights and access confined spaces.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Frequent standing walking bending and kneeling.Work may be performed in varying environmental conditions both indoors and outdoors.The wage for this role isup to 35.00 per hour depending on experience.
