This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for the full lifecycle of sprinkler work, from installation and service to inspection, testing, and maintenance across a diverse customer portfolio throughout New England. The ideal candidate is a licensed, field-experienced leader who can manage a team of technicians, drive customer satisfaction, maintain code compliance, and contribute to the continued growth of a thriving sprinkler business line.

What You’ll Do

Operations & Field Management

•      Oversee day-to-day operations of the sprinkler division, including installation, inspection, testing, service, and repair of water-based fire protection systems

•      Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate field technicians and sprinkler fitters to ensure efficient execution of all work orders and projects

•      Conduct site visits, field checks, and quality assurance reviews to verify workmanship and code compliance

•      Manage labor allocation, subcontractors, and material procurement to meet project timelines and budgets

•      Respond to emergency service requests and oversee timely resolution of system deficiencies

Code Compliance & Technical Oversight

•      Ensure all work is performed in accordance with NFPA 13, 14, 20, 25, Massachusetts state fire codes, and applicable AHJ requirements

•      Review project drawings, hydraulic calculations, and specifications for accuracy and code compliance

•      Serve as the technical authority for the sprinkler division, troubleshooting complex system issues and providing guidance to field staff

•      Coordinate AHJ inspections, permit submissions, and system acceptance testing

•      Stay current with changes to NFPA standards, state codes, and manufacturer requirements

Team Leadership & Development

•      Train, mentor, and manage a team of licensed fire sprinkler service technicians

•      Conduct performance reviews and support career development, including NICET certification pursuit

•      Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies on all job sites

•      Partner with HR on workforce planning, onboarding, and employee relations within the division

Customer & Business Development

•      Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, property managers, and engineers throughout the life of each project

•      Build and maintain strong client relationships that support recurring service agreements, inspections, and additional project work

•      Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to support proposals, scope reviews, and bid development

•      Monitor division revenue, gross margin, and profitability, reporting results to operations leadership
