Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with fire sprinkler systems, knowledge of NFPA standards, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues while providing professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of wet, dry, and pre-action fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 25.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, test results, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Test and evaluate sprinkler heads, valves, piping, pumps, and related control systems.
  • Inspect piping, fittings, and connections for corrosion, leaks, damage, or other deficiencies.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs, including replacing damaged components, cleaning pipes and sprinkler heads, lubricating moving parts, and adjusting system settings.
  • Inspect and test fire pump assemblies, including flow rates, pressure levels, and mechanical operation.
  • Respond to service calls and emergency requests, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to restore system functionality.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, service work, repairs, parts used, and customer notes.
  • Communicate inspection findings and deficiencies to customers and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or system improvements.
  • Coordinate with service and administrative teams regarding scheduling, materials, work orders, and job requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all applicable safety procedures and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical or vocational training in fire protection or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA 13 and NFPA 25.
  • NICET certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
  • Comfortable working in commercial, industrial, and outdoor environments that may include noise, dust, heat, low-light conditions, and other challenging conditions.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools for cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening, and other service-related tasks.
  • Ability to use appropriate fall protection and other safety equipment when required.
