Position Summary

Eagle Fire is seeking an experienced and motivated Sprinkler Technician to join our team in Kennesaw, GA. This position is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and service of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, manufacturer requirements, and Company procedures.

Travel to customer and construction sites is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, maintain, and modify fire sprinkler systems and related components

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents

  • Perform system layout, pipe fabrication, cutting, threading, grooving, and installation

  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, manufacturer requirements, and Company policies

  • Organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily jobsite activities

  • Identify and communicate material shortages, field changes, or installation issues to supervisors in a timely manner

  • Coordinate work to minimize disruption to customer operations and project schedules

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites

  • Train and mentor Technician Trainees or Apprentices as assigned

  • Accurately document work performed and communicate project updates effectively

  • Participate in continuing education and certification training as required

  • Follow all Company safety policies and immediately address unsafe conditions or practices

  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer-focused attitude

  • Work overtime or travel out of town as necessary to meet project and customer needs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in fire sprinkler installation, service, or related fire protection work preferred

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered

  • Practical knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection industry standards

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate trade-related tools and equipment

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

  • Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter card preferred; apprenticeship candidates will also be considered

  • Ability to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and licensing

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and climb for extended periods

  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, and physically demanding environments

  • Ability to travel and stay overnight as required

  • Ability to safely operate Company vehicles, hand tools, power tools, and industry equipment
