We are looking for Fire Sprinkler Technicians to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio.
An active Ohio State Fire Marshal Category 1 certification is required for this position.
Technicians will install, modify, and repair commercial fire sprinkler systems while working from approved plans and hydraulic calculations to ensure systems pass local fire department inspections.
Technicians who also hold a Category 3 Fire Pump certification may assist with commercial fire pump installations and qualify for the top end of the pay range.
Key Duties and Technical Standards
Install, modify, and repair commercial fire sprinkler systems
Cut, thread, and assemble steel and CPVC sprinkler piping
Install wet and dry sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 13 standard
Perform hydrostatic testing and assist with system inspections
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate final walkthroughs for fire department approvals
Install and test commercial fire pumps (Category 3 certified technicians)
Essential Qualifications
Active Ohio State Fire Marshal Individual Certification – Category 1 (Required)
Minimum 2 years of field experience installing fire protection systems
Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and the Ohio Fire Code
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Advantageous Certifications
Ohio State Fire Marshal Category 3 Certification (Fire Pumps)
Holding both Category 1 and Category 3 certifications qualifies for the top end of the pay range
