We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Fire Alarm Installer for a temporary infrastructure project based in the Cheyenne, WY area. This role focuses strictly on the mechanical installation, structural support, and routing of VESDA (Very Early Warning Aspirating Smoke Detection) sampling networks. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, low-voltage or fire alarm experience, and a strict commitment to site safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation: Route and install VESDA-specific CPVC air sampling pipe networks in strict accordance with engineered system designs, layouts, and slope requirements.
  • Structural Support: Measure, cut, and mount Unistrut support structures to walls, ceilings, or steel beams to securely anchor the piping network.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure air-tight joints, clean pipe cuts, and identical support spacing to prevent pipe sagging and ensure optimal system airflow.
  • Project Execution: Read basic installation prints and work efficiently alongside other trades to meet aggressive project timelines.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean work area and strictly adhere to all site-specific safety regulations, PPE mandates, and hazardous environment protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Technical Experience: Prior experience with VESDA systems, fire alarm installations, low-voltage wiring, or specialized commercial conduit/piping.
  • Mechanical Skills: High proficiency using Unistrut mounting systems, anchors, and assembling CPVC/PVC pipe pathways.
  • Mandatory Safety Certifications:
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Aerial/Scissor Lift Certification
  • Fall Protection Certification
  • Operational Needs: Must possess basic hand tools required for daily low-voltage and mechanical installations.
  • Professionalism: Highly reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently on-site with minimal supervision.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Range: $25.00 – $33.00 / hour (Dependent on Experience)
