We have an immediate opening for a Fire Apparatus Mechanic based out of Waterford, CT. This is a mobile field service position responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fire apparatus and emergency response vehicles throughout the surrounding area.
In this role, you will work on all aspects of the vehicle, including diesel engines, chassis, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, as well as truck-mounted equipment such as fire pumps, aerial devices, ladders, and other emergency response equipment. You'll travel to customer locations, primarily fire departments and municipal fleets, to perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
We're looking for candidates with previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Truck Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, or technicians with experience servicing vocational trucks, utility vehicles, aerial equipment, hydraulic systems, or similar heavy equipment. A valid driver's license is required.
