Position Overview

We are seeking someone with construction experience who is interested in learning a specialized trade and building a long-term career. The ideal candidate has experience in construction, masonry, mechanical repair, roofing, HVAC, or a related field and enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills.

This position begins with a structured apprenticeship program where you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn fireplace repair, masonry restoration, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and installation. As your skills develop, you will transition into a Lead Repair Technician role with opportunities for increased responsibility, leadership, and performance-based compensation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with masonry fireplace and chimney repairs
• Perform demolition, rebuilding, and restoration work
• Learn to diagnose and repair gas fireplace systems
• Install and replace fireplace components and inserts
• Repair and replace dryer vent systems
• Troubleshoot technical and structural issues
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive starting pay of $20-$25 per hour for candidates entering the trade, depending on experience and qualifications
• Candidates with directly related fireplace, chimney, masonry, construction, or specialty trade experience may be eligible for higher starting compensation based on skill level and experience

Lead Repair Technicians who successfully complete training and excel in the role have the opportunity to earn $100,000+ annually through a combination of hourly pay, performance incentives, and commission opportunities.

Qualifications

• Construction experience required
• Masonry experience preferred but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and solve problems
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift 80-100 lbs
• Comfortable working on ladders and roofs
• High school diploma or GED
