Firmware Engineer

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Firmware Engineer to support the development and optimization of embedded systems that power advanced technology solutions. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, test, and maintain reliable firmware while supporting both new product initiatives and ongoing improvements.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems
• Support the full product development lifecycle from concept through implementation and validation
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate technical requirements and develop effective solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, software, and hardware-related issues
• Conduct testing, validation, and debugging activities to ensure product reliability and performance
• Assist with system integration efforts and technical problem-solving initiatives
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and development standards
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements where appropriate
• Support production, quality, and operational teams with technical expertise as needed
• Contribute to project planning, estimating, and execution activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience developing firmware or embedded software solutions
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Knowledge of embedded systems, hardware/software integration, and system-level problem solving
• Familiarity with software development best practices and testing methodologies
• Experience working in cross-functional technical environments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
