What You'll Do

CoreWeave is building a new Firmware Engineering team focused on developing and maintaining BMC and BIOS firmware for our server infrastructure. As a Firmware Engineering Manager, you will help establish and lead this team, supporting firmware engineers as they build reliable, scalable, and production-ready firmware for our data center platforms.

Reporting to a senior engineering manager, you will combine people leadership with technical guidance, helping shape team processes, execution, and culture while partnering closely with hardware, platform, and operations teams.

Lead & support the team - manage, mentor, and coach a small team of firmware engineers through regular 1-on-1s, goal-setting, and feedback, fostering a collaborative and psychologically safe environment.

Execution & delivery - help plan and track firmware development work, ensuring timely delivery of features, bug fixes, and platform enablement across multiple hardware programs.

Technical guidance - participate in design discussions and reviews, helping the team make sound technical decisions around embedded firmware, BMC architectures, and system integration.

Cross-functional collaboration - work closely Hardware Engineering and Systems Engineering teams to ensure firmware aligns with hardware requirements and production needs.

Quality & reliability - support best practices around testing, validation, debugging, and documentation to ensure firmware reliability in large-scale production environments.

Process building - help establish lightweight development processes, documentation standards, and tooling appropriate for a growing firmware organization.

Grow the team - partner with recruiting and senior leadership to interview and onboard new firmware engineers as the team scales.

Communicate & align - provide clear status updates, surface risks early, and communicate trade-offs and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
