1st Article Inspector – 2nd ShiftTempe, AZ
$25–$30/hr + 8% Shift Differential
Monday–Friday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

We’re looking for a detail-oriented 1st Article Inspector to join our quality team on 2nd shift. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring high-precision products meet strict customer and industry standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform first article inspections and follow detailed manufacturing plans and inspection procedures
  • Conduct receiving inspections using mechanical and electrical instruments, CMM, functional gauges, and test fixtures
  • Use sampling plans to verify product acceptance according to customer specifications
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials
  • Record inspection data, variable test results, and SPC information in our computer systems
  • Review product history for trends and perform detailed analysis
  • Prepare and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support quality goals

What You Bring:

  • 1–3 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection procedures
  • Hands-on experience with standard inspection tools, CMM, and gauges
  • Solid understanding of SPC, workmanship standards, and basic GD&T
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, heat treat, plating, welding, etc.)
  • Good math, computer, and organizational skills
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical inspection experience with semiconductor or aerospace products/assemblies

Schedule & Compensation:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
  • Pay: $25–$30 per hour + 8% shift differential
  • Competitive pay based on experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Eyesight correctable to 20/25
  • Must be able to pass a color blindness test
