    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Machinist for our first shift. This role will focus on machining large, high-precision gears for heavy equipment applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming CNC lathes and experience working with large, custom components.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate CNC lathes to produce large custom gears according to engineering specifications and blueprints.
    • Set up and program CNC lathes, including selecting appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for the material and design requirements.
    • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise machining of components.
    • Perform in-process inspections to verify conformance to specifications, using precision measurement instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, and gauges).
    • Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
    • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
    • Collaborate with team members to improve processes, troubleshoot issues, and meet production goals.
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship in machining or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, preferably in the manufacturing of large custom components.
    • Proficiency in programming and operating CNC lathes; experience with large gear machining a plus.
    • Strong understanding of G-code and machine tooling for optimal machining performance.
    • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications with high accuracy.
    • Proficient in using precision measurement tools and maintaining tight tolerances.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during the shift.
