Overview:
- Sweep at end of shift.
- Check case count and weigh waste.
- Assist with Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Assist with other assignments as directed.
- Empty trash cart as time permits.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for packaging product in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Pack product.
- Palletize product
- Sets up tape machines.
- Keep cartons available for packers.
- Keep product buckets empty, using GMP’s to avoid contamination.
- Make sure bags are properly sealed and coded
- Ensures compliance to quality, food safety and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards in work area.
- Follow GSO’s and other policies designed to improve safety.
- Ensure compliance to process and preventive controls as laid out in Food Safety Plan.
Competencies:
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Must be able to keep up to speed with the package machine.
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Works in a manufacturing environment where employee may be required to speak, read, stand, walk, reach, lift and bend while performing job duties.
- Must be able to stand for a standard 8-10 hour shift, with regular breaks performing repetitive work. Overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
- Earplugs, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), shirt apparel with no buttons or pockets are required in plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
