Job Title: Fiscal Intermediary (FI) Coordinator

Location: Canandaigua and CP Rochester sites

Pay Range: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week). Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during program hours (8:30 am - 4:30 pm). Must have ability to adjust hours as needed. Evening/weekend work required on occasion.

Summary/Objective:

The Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator is responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals who self-direct their services through a self-directed budget. Responsibilities include participating in meetings, oversight of the self-directed budget and ensuring timely and accurate billing.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years relevant experience, OR Associate’s Degree and 2+ years relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ year relevant experience
  2. Knowledge of eVero is a plus.
  3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word & Excel)
  4. Valid NYS Driver’s License.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Imparts agency philosophy of “Equal Opportunity, Independence and Realization of Individual Potential” to children, families, program staff and community resources.
  2. Maintains confidentiality of information relating to individuals and their families in accordance with agency policy.
  3. The FI Coordinator will support Self-directed (SD) participants.
  4. Responsible for reviewing SD participant’s monthly paperwork, ensuring all information is accurate and meets Federal, State and local regulations.
  5. Responsible for submitting monthly documentation for billing and accounts payable, monitoring records of approvals, broker invoices and monthly expenditure reports.
  6. Attends required meetings and prepares/completes required paperwork.  Provides training and support to SD participants/designees to manage their SD Plan and self-hired staff. 
  7. Collaborates with Human Resources on hiring and staffing concerns.
  8. Monitor self-directed staff’s compliance with required trainings. 
  9. Conducts launch meetings.
  10. Review Self-Directed budgets for compliance with regulations.
  11. Monitors plans and resources to ensure appropriate implementation.
  12. Reviews self-hired staff’s billing documentation and prepare for payroll processing.
  13. Adheres to the agency’s policies and procedures as well as department guidelines.
  14. Participates in conferences, workshops and in-service training as needed or recommended to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
  15. Performs all other duties at the discretion of the Program Director or his/her designee.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office and preschool program environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Travel:Travel is primarily local during the business day, but employee may be expected to work at any of our partner agencies. Some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected (for Conferences/trainings).

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, internal equity, and location.
