    Monday - Friday, 8:30a.m. through 5:00p.m. with occasional requirement to work additional time in order to ensure operation runs smoothly. Occasionally working from 10:30 to 7:00pm

    General Description:

    The Fiscal Technician provides the cashiering and administrative support required to assure the efficient operation of the Business Office.

    • This position is not eligible for telework. *

    Duties and Tasks:

    • Continuous and routine money handling on campus to assure compliance with existing procedures.
    • Work within established guidelines to find more efficient ways to accomplish assigned duties.
    • Assist customers in person, on the phone, and in writing with questions for Business Office related questions.
    • Take payments from customers at the front counter.
    • Assist customers with navigation to make on-line payments, enter the payment plan and other related questions.
    • Input data for Applied Music Fees set-up in SIS
    • Reply to student written questions using Team Dynamix Platform

    Special Assignments

    May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

    The employee requires access to the Administrative Information System (AIS) to perform the duties and tasks required of the position.

    KSAs:

    • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
    • Excellent communication skills, comfortable speaking with students, parents, and staff members.
    • Ability and willingness to make (and accept responsibility for) independent decisions and the ability to exercise good judgement
    • Ability to think and work quickly and calmly under pressure, work to deadlines
    • Able to exercise discretion and confidentiality
    • High level of accuracy.
    • Strong attention to detail.

    Minimum Work Experience:

    • Experience in Cashiering
    • Experience in MS Office suite.
    • Administrative support experience
    • Experience in Customer Service

    Additional Considerations

    • Experience working in higher education, finance, or administration.
