Description
AEA supplemental requests via internal application will be accepted until 2:00 pm on 6/29/26.
Salary:
AEA Members: 2% of the base salary on the AEA Certified Salary Schedule
Non-AEA Members: 2% of the base salary on the Non-Degreed Certificated Salary Schedule
Essential Duties :
Must have extensive knowledge of flag and rifle technique and instruction
Must have at least two years'' experience performing with a collegiate marching band
Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior
Positive, high energy, and committed
Partner well with the Band Staff
Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as a cohesive team
Able to have effective and positive communication with students, staff members, directors, and parents
Responsible, professional, and embodies high ethical standards and integrity
Attend Line rehearsals, Marching Band rehearsals, and Marching Band performances
Work with the Line Captains to develop a high-quality Flag and Rifle Line
Work with the Line Captains to create the routine and maintain rehearsal goals
Share ideas based on knowledge and experience to enhance the overall vision of the Flag and Rifle Line
Assist with Woodwind sectionals when deemed necessary by the Band Directors
The following requirements must be on file before starting:
Valid and Appropriate Ohio Teaching License or Pupil Activity Permit
Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Reporting and Training Certificate of Completion
Favorable State and Federal background checks
Negative Drug Screen Result
Employees must follow all board policies, all state and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Code of Ethics set up by the Ohio Department of Education. Subject to all applicable laws, essential job functions of this position include the employee being punctual and capable of completing all of the position''s required duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The successful candidate must complete all required compliance courses as assigned by the administration.
