    Job Summary:

    Take your passion for fitness and leadership to the next level as our Assistant Manager, Fitness. In this hands-on role, you'll assist in leading fitness programs, manage staff, and build strong client relationships while fostering a culture of health and wellness. You'll have the opportunity to lead a team of fitness professionals, deliver engaging health promotion initiatives, and achieve both immediate and long-term objectives.     Responsibilities:

    • Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure program success and satisfaction.

    • Develop strategic annual plans, achieving both short- and long-term program goals.

    • Oversee budgeting, reporting, and financial management for fitness programs and operations.

    • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise full- and part-time staff, while fostering team growth and managing performance.

    • Lead and oversee personal training and group exercise programs, ensuring high-quality service and client engagement.

    • Mentor and guide college interns, providing professional development opportunities.

    • Design, deliver, and evaluate health promotion initiatives, incentive programs, and specialty offerings.

    • Conduct fitness assessments, develop exercise prescriptions, and provide first workouts for diverse populations, including high-risk participants.

    • Supervise and monitor the exercise floor to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

    • Manage administrative processes, including membership enrollments, terminations, and member inquiries.

    • Perform additional duties as needed to support the fitness center's operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of management experience overseeing a large staff, preferably in the fitness or hospitality industry.

    • Bachelor's degree in an exercise-related field (e.g., Kinesiology, Exercise Science, etc.).

    • Current, nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, NSCA, or equivalent).

    • Outgoing personality with excellent communication and leadership skills.

    • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
